    This is a lovely place to stay when visiting york it is a great location within walking distance of many places great rooms friendly staff and parking close by to the hotel when ever in york I like to stay here plus Wetherspoons there for breakfast.

    Would not recommend staying here. Rooms are date, smell foosty and cleanliness could be better. Worse still was the noise outside. The room overlooked a courtyard of the pub next door. Every night the noise of drunken carry-on was horrendous. A call to reception made no difference. Room was really hot too. Opening the window wasn't an option with the noise. Staff did leave a note in the room saying "Welcome to British Summertime." Explaining this made the rooms very hot and to keep the curtains closed. I feel air conditioning would be a better investment. Wish I'd paid a little more and stayed elsewhere. Oh and ВЈ1.90 for a small bottle of water? Really?
